Patient Engagement Specialist
Full Time, Remote

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Patient Engagement Specialist to join our team and play a crucial role in helping patients learn about and enroll for our remote monitoring program, SweetSpot. As a Patient Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for calling patients on behalf of their doctors, discussing the benefits of the remote monitoring program, troubleshooting data sharing related issues, and obtaining patient consent. Your excellent communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail will contribute to the success in the role. 

What You’ll Do: 
  • Patient Communication: Initiate outbound calls to patients, and field inbound calls, to discuss and enroll them in the SweetSpot program 
  • Tech-Savvy CGM/Pump Troubleshooter: Assist patients in setting up their CGM & Insulin Pump devices for remote data sharing and resolve technical issues they might encounter.  
  • Documentation: Accurately document all interactions and conversations with patients in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.  
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the SweetSpot Clinical Customer Success team to ensure seamless documentation. 
  • Master of Empathy: Approach patient conversations with sensitivity and practice active listening. Build rapport, understand their needs, and navigate conversations accordingly to create an exceptional patient experience. 

Required Qualifications: 
  • Prior Allied Health Experience: Experience in an allied health role within an endocrinology office or clinic (e.g., MA, CNA, LVN/LPN, RN) is required. 

Bonus Qualifications:  
  • Prior Patient Engagement Experience: Prior experience in a patient engagement role, especially in remote patient monitoring, is preferred. 

 Skills: 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms and convey empathy over the phone. 
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable navigating new technology and guiding patients through simple device-related problems. A proactive approach to learning new technology. 
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document conversations and actions in the CRM system. 
  • Empathy and Patience: Demonstrated ability to connect with patients, show understanding of their needs, and maintain a patient-centric approach throughout interactions.
